Most calls start with something that stopped working. We trace the fault to its cause, whether that’s a worn receptacle, a loose connection in a box, a failing breaker or a circuit carrying more than it should, and fix it properly instead of just resetting it.
Fixture swaps, ceiling fans, recessed lighting and switches where you actually want them.
Swapping an old fixture, hanging a ceiling fan where a light used to be, adding recessed lights to a kitchen or a three-way switch to a stairway. Fans need a box rated to hold them, and we check that before anything goes up.
Outdoor outlets, yard and porch lighting, and wiring for pool pumps and equipment.
Outdoor work has to stand up to Ohio weather and water. We install weather-resistant GFCI outlets with in-use covers, porch and landscape lighting, and power for pool pumps and equipment with the bonding and protection the code calls for.
Dedicated circuits, basement finishes, kitchens and additions, permitted and inspected.
Finishing a basement, opening up a kitchen or adding a freezer in the garage all mean new wiring. We plan the circuits around how you’ll use the space, pull the permit where one is required and leave it ready for inspection.
Fuse box replacements, full panels and 100- to 200-amp service upgrades.
A lot of Stark County houses still run on fuse boxes or small services that were never meant for central air, an electric range and a houseful of electronics. We replace panels, upgrade services and coordinate the disconnect and reconnect with AEP Ohio or Ohio Edison.

Canton has blocks of homes built before the Second World War. Their wiring has usually been added to by several owners. We find what’s there, tell you plainly what matters most, and update it in a sensible order: grounding, GFCI and AFCI protection, and replacing the circuits that shouldn’t stay.

Spring windstorms and ice can take Stark County’s power out for hours. A properly installed generator inlet and interlock or transfer switch keeps the sump pump and furnace running safely. We also add whole-home surge protection at the panel and 240-volt circuits for EV chargers.

Panels, services, new circuits and remodel wiring generally need a permit. In Canton that’s the City of Canton Building Department; in much of the county it’s the Stark County Building Department. We pull it and schedule the inspection.
